Hundreds of color-changing butterflies provide an extraordinary and immersive experience for the audience in this interactive installation. As festival-goers walk past, the colors of the butterflies change, symbolizing the transformational powers and creativity of butterflies across all cultures. On the Wings of Freedomis about the transformation of the city. The city of Baltimore is a place where people can continuously be inspired, not only culturally but also socially; and a place for ongoing change, innovation and progress.

INSIDER'S TIP: Beat the Crowds by Visiting Before the Weekend

Crowds at Light City are expected to increase on Friday & Saturday night. Take advantage of being able to get up close and personal to the amazing artwork by visiting tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday nights! Light City is open from 7-11pm on weeknights, and 7pm-midnight on Friday & Saturday.

Yam Yam is a project that has only existed for just over a year, but in that time they have blazed a trail of extremely rowdy shows all of which have turned into funked out dance parties. You can expect their set to be a delicious mix of extremely funky improvisation, fast paced rhythmic Latin grooves, and covers ranging from Michael Jackson to Outkast.

Plus, it's not too late to register for Labs@LightCity, one of the largest and most unique social innovation convenings in the U.S. With new " Pay What You Can”  ticketing, attendees can choose to pay what they can to participate in the Labs. The Labs take place at the IMET Columbus Center,  701 E. Pratt Street , April 18-21. Each day emerging voices and established thinkers explore the innovations and practices that build stronger, more equitable cities. Each Lab explores the future of society and every attendee will have the opportunity to learn, network and be heard.
