Spring Luther Serves : The Luther student congregation invites Luther students, groups, and organizations to join in serving residents in the Decorah area with spring chores on Saturday, April 28 through Luther Serves! Help with yard work, cleaning first floor windows, light housework, and other chores. Morning shifts are from 9:30 a.m. to noon and afternoon shifts are from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. To sign up, follow the link on the College Ministries web page or email [email protected]. 

New Hope International Exchange group 29:11 is coming to Luther College . Join Gospel Choir rehearsal with 29:11, Saturday, April 28 , 3-5 p.m., Center for Faith and Life, Recital hall. 29:11 & Gospel Choir will lead worship Sunday, April 29, 10:00 a.m., Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall.

Cantorei and the Luther Ringers will perform a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music.  Those unable to attend may view the concert live online at stream.luther.edu/music.

Signed Ted Koppel Bookplates : Tuesday, May 1 in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall from 7:00-9:00 p.m. the Book Shop will be selling Ted Koppel's book, Lights Out. Every purchase will receive a signed Ted Koppel Bookplate for your book or to use as you choose. Bookplates are limited so get yours early before they run out. 
I never knew they could dance! Dancing with the Luther Stars 2018 features three Luther staff members with hidden talent. This year's stars are Bradley Phillips, Campus Programming Assistant/Box Office Manager, Erin Zidlicky, Help Desk Lead, and Justin Scardina, Catering Director.  A night of classy and cheeky ballroom dances presented by Luther College Ballroom and Swing Club. Luther College presents a biology colloquium by Mark Borchardt titled "Cows or People? Sources of Fecal Contamination in the Karst-like Aquifer in Northeast Wisconsin" 9:40 a.m., Thursday, April 26, in Valders Hall of Science, Room 206.
In his lecture, Borchardt will explain how he uses viruses and gut bacteria to determine the source of bacterial contaminants in well water.

Guest lecturer Joshua Palkki will address how gender stereotypes appear in choral classrooms as well as musical and social issues involving LGBTQ students in ensembles at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, in Valders Hall of Science, Room 206.

are invited to Reimagining Luther, a  morning of training and workshops on race and inclusive community - Saturday, May 5, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Valders 206. Keynote speaker
and workshop leaders is Okogyemon (Herbert Perkins, PhD, Mdiv), ASDIC Metamorphosis. The day begins with breakfast @ 8:30 a.m. (Valders Concourse) and will conclude by 1:00 p.m.

Luther College will host the Lucille Stansberry Rosholt Distinction in Accompanying and Collaborative Keyboard Performance Scholarship recital at
2 p.m. Sunday, April 29 in the Noble Recital Hall in Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. The recital will be followed by an award ceremony and reception.

Santosh Shetty, Co-Founder, Gromor Finance, will share his insights on India and what is happening with the economy, startups, and demographics. Gromor works with small businesses and uses technology to arrive at lending decisions to finance working and growth capital needs. Santosh is an Angel Investor in many India based startups, cofounded Neev Technologies, and was previously a member of the Core Development Team at Talisma and Pi Corp.  Monday, April 30,

Hey Luther! Get excited because the Judah & the Lion concert is only days away! SAC Concerts is bringing Judah & the Lion to the Regents Center Saturday, May 5 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are free with CAF or $40 without. Give them a listen-we hope to see you there! Tickets on-line or at the Ticket Office.

Decorah Walmart shopping shuttle will run from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27 .  This is open to all students and there is no charge, but reservations are requested, please register here. Sponsored by the Diversity Center.

Move Out 2018 is just around the corner, and we need your help! Luther is hoping to reach a 50% reduction in Move Out waste this year. The Center for Sustainable Communities has 2-hour shifts open for volunteers who will assist with loading trucks with donations, diverting items from the landfill, and having fun engaging with peers. RERUNS
Luther College's Philharmonia will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. Featured music includes Benjamin Britten's "Simple Symphony," Edvard Grieg's "Prelude from the Holberg Suite" and "Elegiac Melodies," Tchaikovsky's "Andante Cantabile for Strings" and Dvorak/Isaac's "Three Slavonic Dances."

Educators for Social Justice are hosting an educator workshop on April 25. The workshop will take place in Koren 217 at 7:30 p.m. and involves four active teachers from Park Center High School who will address inclusive education, and cultural competency in the classroom. The workshop is open to everyone, as the teachers from Park Center will also address how Luther students can make their learning environment here in Decorah more inclusive.  

Play "Geocache for College Cash" in Preus Library during Money Smart Week (April 21-28)! Visit the circulation desk any time during the week to learn how to play.
