"
Right understanding is the only solution to both physical and mental problems. You should always check very carefully how you’re expending your energy: will it make you happy or not? That’s a big responsibility, don’t you think? It’s your choice: the path of wisdom or the path of ignorance.
"

ANNOUNCEMENT OF SCHEDULE CHANGE
We have all enjoyed our Center's long open hours welcoming visitors, meditators, volunteers and members. This "open access" is a rarity among FPMT Centers. We ask for your patience as Kadampa Center temporarily remains closed during daytime hours as our Board of Directors and Center Manager develop a new "open access" schedule. Once completed, the new schedule will be distributed as soon as possible.
During this transition, volunteers with specific responsibilities may continue to access the Center.

Live in the present, give in the present
- Have you heard the word Dana (sounds like Donna) used in the Center? It means generosity, an important Buddhist virtue. One may be inspired after a meaningful Sunday teaching or to commemorate a personal milestone. Some choose this method for anonymity, others prefer to give as their heart is moved.

Thanks go out this week to Patti Pandya, Gary Mickey and Venerable Lhamo for assisting in setting up the Tara altar on a consistent basis when we have Saturday sessions of "Making Praises to the 21 Taras." There is a lot of work that goes into moving furniture, setting up the altar, transferring the Taras into place and making everything beautiful so participants may make offerings before the practice begins. Thank you guys for your joyful effort!
