 TRX Suspension Training!

TRX  is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It's a great compliment to your Pilates Training!  It requires the use of the  TRX  Suspension equipment and Trainer! TRX is a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete the exercises.  We have added new group classes to our schedule.

Strengthen to support your baby while working your abdominals and at the same time, relieving discomfort in the lower back and body. Pre-natal Pilates creates a sense of centering, alignment and balance for your body building postural awareness throughout your pregnancy, while toning the arms legs & back-side. These exercises are ideal to prepare the body for labour and will ease the transition of postnatal recovery. A healthy mind and body is a wonderful way to begin one of life's greatest journeys! This course is designed for beginner mommy's-to-be but also welcomes those mommy's-to-be whom have practiced regular Pilates or Yoga prior to being pregnant. We encourage clients to have taken some private sessions if they have never practiced Pilates before.

Getting back in shape after having a baby can seem an intimidating and time consuming task. A Pilates program is both a perfect pre and post-natal workout helping strengthen and tone the whole body. Pilates  and yoga can be practiced by new mothers in varying post-natal stages helping strengthen the core, relieving lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain, sciatica, upper back and shoulder tension by strengthening the core, gluteus (butt), thighs and stretching all while focusing on reinforcing good posture and correcting poor posture as the body changes.

It is a wonderful workout for the new mother. Babies 6 weeks until they are crawling are welcome! Please bring the little ones in their carseats or carriers, whatever will keep them comfortable.  Please bring a blanket and a couple toys for baby. Moms can nurse and take breaks when needed.
