Calling All Anglers!

Lake Fairfax is the only Fairfax County Park Authority owned lake that has trout fishing -
rainbow trout,  Not only are rainbow trout delicious, they are also a challenge to catch!

Lake Fairfax needs your help.  Rainbow trout do not reproduce in the lake habitat which results in the lake needing to be restocked with trout. The cost of stocking the lake has increased substantially in the past few years. We need all fishermen who enjoy fishing for rainbow trout to help fund the restocking of trout in Lake Fairfax.

Without receiving donations, it will be impossible to restock the lake, meaning no trout fishing this season. While there are other fish in the lake including bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish, it would not be the same without the rainbow trout!

Please consider donating $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or whatever you can afford to keep the trout streaming at Lake Fairfax. It's a great sport that parents want to pass down to their children. And Lake Fairfax is the perfect location to learn as fishing is open all year long at this treasured park!

Click here to make your secure online donations. In the field titled 'Add special instructions to the seller' add a notation "for trout in Lake Fairfax".

With your help, Lake Fairfax Park will have a great fishing season with a lake filled with trout!
