Athletes Committed to Educating Students
|
|
ACES is an educational non-profit that has been serving youth in the Twin Cities since 1994. ACES stands for "Athletes Committed to Educating Students" and has a long history of support from the Twin Cities professional sports teams and athletes. The program uses sports and athlete involvement to incentivize learning outside of the traditional school day. ACES facilitates programming in partnership with several sites in the Twin Cities. The program provides crucial out-of-school-time support for students who attend school at partnering sites.

On Monday and Tuesday, teachers will be administering the FAST assessment in math. The FAST assessment is a measurement tool that helps us understand students' current level of skill so that we can plan instruction and measure yearlong growth. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student's math teacher.

Community Resource: Little Women of Color [External]
|
|
Little Women of Color (LWOC) is an organization designed to create safe spaces for 7-12 year old girls of color in the Twin Cities to discuss topics such as self-esteem and emotional health, and to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education. They will be starting with monthly virtual girls groups, and hope to expand to an in-person after school program as we are able.

The Title I program provides supplemental educational services to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education. Title I helps schools provide world-class educational opportunities to all students.
