Reshoring Brought 171k Jobs Back to the U.S.
According to the Reshoring Initiative’s  2017 Reshoring Report , combined reshoring and related foreign direct investment (FDI) added more than 171,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs in 2017, up 2,800 percent from 2010.

The total number of manufacturing jobs brought to the U.S. from offshore is over 576,000 since 2010. The reshoring and FDI jobs equal 90 percent of the 189,000 total manufacturing jobs added last year. This is very promising, read the full article in Thomas for Industry.

SpaceX to Build New Rocket in Port of Los Angeles
Exciting news! Mayor Eric Garcetti recently announced in his annual state-of-the-city speech that SpaceX has chosen to manufacture its planned new rocket in the Port of Los Angeles.

The mayor said it's a "vehicle that holds the promise of taking humanity even deeper into the cosmos than ever before."

CEO Elon Musk simply refers to the planned new rocket as the BFR, while SpaceX calls its existing rockets Falcons. BFR is intended serve all purposes, from missions into Earth orbit and out to the moon and Mars. Musk has said he aspires to launch his first cargo missions to Mars in 2022.
