Dear North Allegheny Parents/Guardians,
The North Allegheny Board of School Directors will move its special voting meeting to Monday, October 5, at 7:00 p.m. During the meeting, members of the Board will vote to update the District’s 2020-2021 Education Plan.
The meeting was previously scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2020. The date change will allow North Allegheny Administrators to share a detailed plan with the public of what five-days of In-Person instruction will look like for students in grades K-5 and 6-8.
The following items will be discussed and voted on at the special voting meeting:
- For the 2nd quarter, a recommendation to amend the In-Person Instruction phase for grades K-5 to be five-days of In-Person Instruction beginning on Wednesday, November 4.
- For the 2nd quarter, a recommendation to amend the In-Person Instruction phase for grades 6-8 to be five-days of In-Person Instruction beginning on Wednesday, November 11.
- For the 2nd quarter, a recommendation to continue in the In-Person Hybrid phase for grades 9-12 due to building capacity and In-Person enrollment.
- North Allegheny Cyber Academy will continue to be an option for students.
Should the board approve this plan, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to re-enroll their student(s) in NA Cyber Academy or In-Person Instruction beginning Tuesday, October 6.
Sincerely,
Patrick O’Toole, Ed.D.
Acting Superintendent
