PAALS Celebrates Recent PAALS Patriots Graduates
Recently PAALS and The Big Red Barn Retreat, in conjunction with counselors from Pathways Growth and Learning Center, completed a 10 week PAALS Patriots Animal Assisted Intervention program. Veterans from Dorn VA Hospital participated in numerous activities using animal therapy. The program received much positive feedback from participants and is looking for funding to hold another 10 week session. This is just one way PAALS is meeting the needs of the community while service dog candidates are in training. Services for veterans provided through PAALS are made possible by donations and grants to the Rob's Best Friend Fund. PAALS has obtained one grant from Aflac to help fund another PAALS Patriots program, but funds are still needed. If you know of any funding opportunities or would like to donate to the cause, contact Jen Rogers at 803-920-0042 or donate at the Link.
Do your youth have summer time blues because they are missing Summer PAALS camp? Well, you are about to see smiles on their faces when you tell them PAALS is offering an after school youth training program. No longer will they have to wait until June, July, or August to work with PAALS service dog candidates in training. See the link below for more information and to sign your young person up TODAY!
