Apply: WCDC Youth & Education Mini-Grant Cycle Open Now
©Jason Cohn
Each spring, we host our annual Youth Initiative Mini-Grant Program to provide funds to local organizations that support the academic and civic endeavors of Wilkinsburg youth.

Our 2018 grant cycle is OPEN NOW! Grant applications will be accepted until April 27.

Now in our eighth year, we have had the opportunity to support many organizations and serve hundreds of local youth through our mini-grant program. And with the help of the Howard & Nell E. Miller Foundation, we have been able to increase our efforts and help even more organizations over the past three years.

Vacant Property Success: Restoring a Historic Home
©Greg Sciulli
We are currently working on a new series of stories, highlighting our vacant property work in Wilkinsburg as well as recent successful projects.

Our first story features resident, Joseph Auria, and his project to restore the vacant, historic home next door to his.

Joseph utilized the Vacant Property Recovery Program and the Tax Abatement Program to acquire and finance the property.

You can read Joseph's story plus lots of other local news in this month's issue of The Wilkinsburg Sun -- check it out!
