  CHAMBER NEWS
Introducing the Maryland Chamber Federation

You may have seen our announcement on social media, or articles from The Daily Record and the Baltimore Business Journal, but we are excited to announce that the Howard County Chamber is one of 14 local chambers that have signed on to the new Maryland Chamber Federation.

The Board of Directors of the Howard County Chamber and Maryland Chamber recognize that small business is the driving force of job creation in Maryland. We also understand that many of our small business members are wearing multiple hats and constantly trying to leverage their time, dollars and other resources. Through the Maryland Chamber Federation, any business with 10 or fewer full time employees, who is a current paid member of Howard County Chamber, will receive FREE Federation membership into the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

Read more about the benefits of the Maryland Chamber Federation in this letter from Howard County Chamber President/CEO Leonardo McClarty.

50 Years, 50 Volunteers

We put out the call, and you answered! Several weeks ago, we asked members to join us for a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. Our goal was to get 50 member volunteers to work on service projects with our Chamber team in honor of our 50th Anniversary Year.

Our staff and dozens of our amazing members spent the day helping with projects at The ARC of Howard County and Glen Mar Church. You can see all the pictures from this wonderful day at https://bit.ly/2CvopsV.
