NET Host Families Needed
Delone Catholic is happy to host a NET (National Evangelization Team) retreat again for the Sophomore retreat. NET retreats are lead by a group of young adults who travel the country to minister to high-school aged youth. Families are needed to host the young men and women as they travel to Hanover when they are here for our Sophomores. In the past, host families have described this opportunity as a tremendous blessing.

The  NET ministers will arrive the evening of Sunday, Feb. 10, have dinner with your family and depart the morning of Monday, Feb. 11 after breakfast for the retreat with the Sophomores. If your family is able and willing to open your home to these  retreat leaders, your generosity would be greatly appreciated! You can also specify if you would prefer to  house only men or only women. Questions or interest can be directly to Mrs. Phenicie in the Spiritual Life Office.

Works of Mercy Reminder for Seniors
The deadline for submitting Works of Mercy service hours for graduating seniors is 3 p.m. on March 22, 2019. After this time, the number of uncompleted service hours will double. Intentions for Adoration
Every Friday, the Mary, Queen of Peace Chapel is open for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and our students would like to use that time to pray for your intentions. Please use this form to submit any intentions that you have so that a student can choose an intention to pray for specifically during their time at Adoration.

SportsLeader Virtue of the Week
One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

This week our virtue theme is HARDWORKING - The strength to accomplish tasks with tireless dedication. HARD WORK is necessary for everything in life. We need to WORK HARD on this team, in school, in our relationships, in your future jobs ... nothing truly worthwhile that lasts is easy.

PEMA ReadyPA Newsletter - January 2019
Happy New Year from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the ReadyPA Team.  As we enter January, we would like to stress the importance of safe driving over the winter months.  The January 2019 ReadyPA Monthly provides some winter driving tips and safe driving practices to help you navigate Pennsylvania roadways. Did you know that although your pets are covered in fur, many just aren't equipped to be out in frigid temperatures for prolonged periods? This issue of the ReadyPA Monthly provides suggestions to help your animals stay healthy throughout the winter.  Finally, the State Meteorologist has provided information on the "chilling dangers of cold weather."
The January Action Sheet contains information provided by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.  Be sure to practice these "10 musts for winter driving."  To read the January newsletter, click here.
