Weekly School Newsletter

Mission:
United by faith and service,
St. Anthony of Padua School community forms knowledgeable students who are moral and courageous Catholic leaders.
Notes from Mrs. Pudelko:

  • Building Healthy Communities Grant: We are excited to be the recipient of a Health Community Grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Wayne State. This grant provides us with new recess and playground equipment, PE lessons, classroom lessons and tips for wellness. Look for a new section in our newsletter next week highlighting these healthy habits. Teachers are learning the new program and implementation will begin during the month of October. Check out this fact sheet for more information.
  • HEALTH DEPARTMENT TOOLKIT: The Health Department continues to update the School Toolkit. All parents are encouraged to review these updates here (as of 9/11/20). I encourage you to have a conversation with your child about social distancing. We are experiencing some students who are struggling to keep 6' from their peers at recess. While I understand the desire to be closer together, if we were to have a positive case, any student that is considered a close contact (within 6' for 15 minutes) would need to quarantine for 14 days. We continue to provide reminders to students to help them understand that we WANT them to be in person at school as much as possible.
  • FRIDAY MASS: Mass will be available via livestream on Friday on our website (saparish.com). Join us this Friday - music will be played during Mass!
