Thank you to all the parents who joined Principal Chat #2 yesterday. We discussed an overview of the LGUSD strategic plan timeline and the Student Success Profile. After stakeholder input and extensive information gathering, the Steering Committee analyzed staff, parent and student surveys while looking for common themes. Stay tuned for more information about the LGUSD Strategic Plan in the coming months and please visit the LGUSD website for updated information.
Parents, you are cordially invited to attend a Social Media Teen Panel titled, “Notes to My Middle School Self” on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 9:00-10:30 A.M. at Harker School. Common Sense Media will be hosting a moderated teen panel discussion on the good, the bad, and the realities of the social media landscape. Hear firsthand from a panel of teens (including some of our very own Fisher Middle School 8th grade students) about their experiences with social media and their hard-earned advice for parents. Learn why kids love social media, where they can run into trouble, and how parents can help them manage. Please

Let's cruise back to the 1950s and see how the best street racer, Peggy Sue, moves to have aspirations to go to college. Her sister needs some help and one last race will make or break her college bound decision. Along the way, they stumble upon some trouble that puts some grease monkey trouble in the way. She brings her sister, old friends, and new friends together to help her build a car for her last race. Come see students from Blossom Hill, Daves Avenue, Lexington, and Van Meter perform this exciting show.
All shows are performed at Blossom Hill Elementary.

PARENT-CHILD NUTRITION SURVEY
Our goal is to provide high quality, appealing meals that accommodate special dietary needs and create a financially sustainable meal program. Currently the meal program is operating at a deficit because of low participation. Help us understand what changes we can make to increase your participation in the program. Even if the meal program has not been for your family your participation in the survey will help us improve. Please take a few moments to respond.
We have recently surveyed your students to determine what is working and what can improve and would like to include your feedback in any changes that we make moving forward.
