Autism Awareness, each student colored a puzzle piece and included positive words to describe themselves and things they are good at. We put all of the puzzle pieces together symbolizing that despite our differences we all fit together with different strengths.
Join us in the Block Melanoma 5K run and 3K walk on Sunday, May 20th sponsored by the Ann's Hope Foundation. We encourage our staff and families to join in the race against melanoma. From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
This is a huge thank you for completing this year's school survey! We had about 75% participation! That is amazing!! Presently, the data is being tallied and once that is complete I will be discussing next steps with faculty and staff. You will receive a general reporting of the data and what we will be working on in the year ahead! I sincerely appreciate all of the added comments - both complimentary and those that suggested improvements! Congratulation to the
Zipperer and
Diebold families for winning the $100 SCRIP certificates!
We are down to the last 5 weeks of school! Lots of learning will be taking place - including our Spring MAP testing which began today. Please encourage your child to continue to do their best to finish the year strong!!
Blessings!

1st grade Girl Scouts listened to Joe and Carol Schmidt speak about resourcefulness and living through WWII and the Great Depression.
3rd grade "candled" eggs last week. The students are keeping a chart to record the eggs that are viable, questionable, or sadly not progressing. Such great life lessons!
Grade 3 also discovered that an egg is an amazing creation! They looked inside and found there is much more than a shell, yolk and egg white!
1st graders displayed their animal habitat dioramas and also read their animal reports to family and friends.
