Dine at Cantina Laredo Tuesdays in Febuary, Help WDCF

The Westchase District Community Fund and Cantina Laredo, 11129 Westheimer (at Wilcrest), are putting the FUN into fundraising.

Dine in any (or EVERY) Tuesday in February at Cantina Laredo from 5 p.m. to close and owner John Vargas will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to the WDCF.

The WDCF is the charitable arm of Westchase District. It is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization overseen by a volunteer board of leading citizens who raise and grant money to advance projects that improve the quality of life for all who live, work and play in Westchase District.

Never tried Cantina Laredo? It's authentic Mexican food inspired by the cuisine of Mexico City with a modern twist. Imagine grilled fish, chicken or steak topped with one of a kind signature sauces like chipotle-wine and Portobello mushroom or sautéed artichoke heart and roasted red bell pepper. Pair that with an award-winning margarita, the Casa Rita, made from fresh lime-juice and the finest tequila and you've got what Vargas calls Modern Mexican. So join your friends and colleagues for dinner Tuesdays in February at Cantina Laredo and support a local charity!

22nd Annual Corporate Challenge Friday, March 29

2018 Corporate Challenge Briefcase Relay
We're warming up for the 22nd Annual Westchase District Corporate Challenge, taking place Friday, March 29 at the Quillian Recreation Center - how about you?

It's a fun day of networking and team-building where Westchase District businesses compete against each other in six different light athletic events. The prize? Bragging rights and the coveted traveling trophy.

This field day for adults - a fundraiser for the Westchase District Community Fund - is open to Westchase District businesses. Since 1998, the Westchase District's Corporate Challenge has raised more than $263,000 for area charities, including Quillian Center's summer day camps. The money is distributed by Westchase District Community Fund.

We keep our fees low so that any Westchase District business of any size can participate. You can register a team for $300, become an event host at the $200 or $400 level, or be an event sponsor for $850. Team registration fees increase by $100 after March 1. Payment must be received by then to receive the early bird rate. Also the event typically sells out by the end of February, so nab your spot for the year's best friendly outdoor company competition.
