UPDATE: $50,000 Annual Fund Challenge
Many thanks to the parents who contributed to the Annual Fund in the last week. The Senior, Sophomore and Freshman classes all  increased their participation and we're now just 35 families away from meeting our $50,000 challenge. Graduation Tickets are Ready for Pick-Up
Attention Class of 2018:  Baccalaureate and graduation tickets are ready for pick-up!  Please stop by the Front Office any day to pick-up your tickets envelope.  You must sign for your envelope before leaving the Front Office.  

Each student receives 10 tickets to the graduation ceremony (some blue and some yellow), and 3 tickets to the Baccalaureate Mass.  There are no extra tickets for the Baccalaureate Mass.  If you submitted a request for additional graduation tickets, you did receive the additional graduation tickets requested and they are already in your envelope.  If you pre-requested the disability seating for graduation, those tickets are already placed in your envelope.  Each person 3 years old and up must have a ticket for entry to the Baccalaureate Mass and the Graduation Ceremony.  No tickets are required for the Honors Assembly here at St. Pius X Catholic High School.  Additional information you need to know:

Ticket color guide to the Class of 2018 graduation ceremonies taking place on May 17-19:
Cream color:   3 Baccalaureate tickets required for entry to the main church at St. Brigid Catholic Church prior to 7:30p procession on May 17.
The Honors Assembly  is open to everyone and does not require a ticket for entry on May 18 at St. Pius X Catholic High School.
Lavender color:   Graduation specific for entry and pre-requested disability seating on the floor of the Long Forum at GAC on May 19.
Blue color:   Graduation specific for entry and seating in the lower level of the Long Forum at GAC on May 19.
Yellow color:   Graduation specific for entry and seating in the upper level of the Long Forum at GAC on May 19.

KEEP YOUR TICKETS SAFE!  DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKETS as we do not have replacements for you!

ALSO --- we still have approximately 175 additional tickets available for the graduation ceremony at the Long Forum at GAC.  These tickets are yellow, so seating is in the upper level of the arena.  If you want extra tickets please send an email to rbraham@spx.org and we will be happy to accommodate your request until all tickets have been given out.
Spring Chorus Concert TODAY
The St. Pius X Chorus will present their final concert of the year during 8th period today in the Young Center (beginning at 2:15 p.m.).  This free concert features pop music selections performed by the Men's Ensemble, Women's Ensemble, the Combined Chorus, and soloists. New Information
From the Academic Office Regarding PowerSchool Access
Senior Class  Access to PowerSchool will be turned off on the  evening of May 7 and turned back on by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16.

Freshman, Sophomore, & Junior Class
 Access to PowerSchool will be turned off on May 21 for final grade entry and end of year processing. Report Cards will be mailed home on June 1.
Important information about the Year End Book Return        Friday, May 23
The Year End Book Return will be held after the last final on Wednesday, May 23. Please remind your student to put their name in their textbooks and have their teachers review them the week before finals. There will be a used book vendor to pay cash for the books St. Pius will not be buying back on Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 between finals. He will be set up in the breezeway. If your student has borrowed any books from the Roar Store please have them return them before finals or they will not receive their yearbook.

As a reminder, there will be a flat rate book fee of $375 minus your book credit from this year's book return. The fee will cover all textbooks for the entire year. It is extremely important that your student turn in their textbooks at the end of this school year  in order to receive a credit towards the flat rate. They should not s ave their books for younger siblings.  The books will be in the student's locker on the first day of class. The book charges will be paid through FACTS.
Student Physicals Offered May 17
Student physicals for the 2018-19 academic year will be offered Thursday, May 17 from 3:15-5:00 p.m. in the main gym.  All new students and all student-athletes must have a physical on file to participate.  For more information, click here.

Art Note Cards on Sale Now
New 2018 Art Note Cards from our Visual Arts students are now available! There are 10 blank cards in a pack, each with a different piece of art on the cover - perfect for a Mother's Day gift or Graduation thank you notes. The cards are $10 per pack and current SPX families can purchase online at  https://www.spx.org/SPASGiftItemsfromSPAS. All proceeds benefit SPX Fine Arts. Email  spas@spx.org for more information.
Important information about the Senior Book Return
The Senior Book Return is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 in their homeroom prior to graduation practice. All seniors' books should have been reviewed and accepted by their teachers.

If your graduating senior has younger siblings there is no need to keep the seniors' textbooks for them. As a reminder there is a flat rate book fee of $375 minus the book credit from this year's book return. The fee will cover all textbooks for the entire year. New Advanced Guitar Ensemble CD on Sale

Save the Date: Summer Enrichment Courses
In order to help prepare students academically for 2018-2019, St. Pius X is offering several academic course opportunities this summer in the subjects of math, foreign language, writing and English. The classes will be Monday, July 23 - Thursday, July 26 (and Tuesday, July 17 - Friday, July 20 for math and writing only). More information about each course or the teacher can be found here.
Georgia ADAP Certificate Information
Parents/Students needing a Georgia ADAP certificate should send an e-mail to Chad Garrison with the following information:

1. Full name as it appears on the child's birth certificate
2. Date of birth
3. School year and semester the student took health

Please send the request at least three days before the certificate is needed.  This should be requested ONLY if your child is testing for a Georgia Driver's License.
