Dr. Fennoy Thanks Teachers During National Teacher Appreciation Week
Every May during Teacher Appreciation Week, the School District of Palm Beach County celebrates teachers and honors them for their commitment to our students, and for the dedication and professionalism they bring to their classrooms each day.

We appreciate all that our teachers do inside and outside of the classroom - whether they're mentoring students, coaching an athletic or academic team, logging practice time with the chorus or band, or serving as an advisor to an afterschool club.

Throughout the week of May 7 for Teacher Appreciation Week, all Palm Beach County students and staff are encouraged to take a moment and recognize the District's outstanding teachers. Please  share your photos with us by tagging the District on Facebook Twitter  or  Instagram , and make sure to use the hashtag #ThankATeacherPBC so we can see how you're celebrating!

How Do You Want to Receive District News and Information? Take Our Survey!

The School District of Palm Beach County wants to hear from parents, employees, students, business leaders and the community about how they're getting their news about the District, and how they want the District to share news with them.

From now until May 31, the Palm Beach County community is invited to take an online survey to share their thoughts on how they want to receive news from the District - whether it's by email, mobile app, information posted on the District's website, or posts shared on social media. They also will be asked to share how they currently learn about what's happening in the District.

The District's Department of Communications and Engagement has partnered with SCoPE (School Communications Performance Evaluation) to conduct the online survey. The survey will be offered in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole, and will be linked directly from the District's homepage. Links to the survey also will be emailed directly to parents and community members, and the survey links will be shared on the District's social media platforms in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Communications team members will attend community events in the next month to ensure maximum participation from a diverse cross-section of the community.

"We know how important it is for parents, employees, business partners, community leaders and students to stay connected with what is happening with our District. As the county's largest employer and 10th largest school district in the country, it is critical that our community is getting the news and information they need from the School District, in the ways that work best for them," said Amity Schuyler, Chief of Staff for the School District of Palm Beach County. "This survey is our community's opportunity to tell us how we're doing, how they're getting their news about the School District, and how we can improve the ways we communicate to them."
