Treat Mom to Brunch (and Dinner!)

The district's most popular dining spots are now open for brunch and dinner. Below ares some of the local favorites.

Best Girl DTLA: Come for brunch and stay for rooftop drinks. Lobster Biscuits and Gravy and Crab Cake Benedict will be on the menu for Mother's Day.  Best Girl is in partnership with Chef Michael Cimarusti, renowned for championing sustainable seafood. Plus, the view from the Ace Hotel is worthy of its own celebration. 929 S Broadway

Poppy & Rose: The beloved brunch spot is now open for dinner.  The new dinner menu features crowd favorites, like the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle, and a brand-new line up of fresh American and Southern-influenced dishes by executive chef Michael Reed, an alum of Osteria Mozza and Michelin-rated Sona. Poppy & Rose is located in the middle of the flower markets at 765 Wall Street.

Preux & Proper: Southern hospitality done right. Preux & Proper is a New Orleans inspired Southern restaurant providing locally sourced, sustainable soul food. The restaurant is open for Sunday brunch. Menu favorites include the baked mac & cheese, shrimp & grits and the "pate a choux beignets." 840 S Spring St.

Rossoblu: No. 10 on Jonathan Gold's 101 Best Restaurants in LA is just as stunning during they day as it as night. Celebrated chef, Steve Samson has created the perfect dining experience in the middle of the district's newest destination, City Market South. Inspired by Bologna, Rossoblu is a an ode to family, tradition, and craftsmanship. We recommend trying the pasta. It's made fresh in-house.  1124 San Julian St.


Car Sharing Service Now Available on Maple & 11th
Electric vehicle car-sharing service, BlueLA is now operating in the Fashion District. BlueLA launched with seven charging stations throughout the City of Los Angeles, including one at Maple Avenue and 11th Street. The public can conveniently rent an electric vehicle from, and return it to, any station. Learn how to reserve a Bluecar for your next trip to or from the district,

BlueLA is one of two transportation-sharing services operating in the district. Metro Bike Share also has various stations in the Fashion District, which allow visitors to rent and ride bicycles throughout downtown.

Enjoy food, flowers, and fresh produce at The Wall Farmer's Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The farmer's market sets up in front of the flower markets on Wall Street between 7th and 8th Streets.
