TIPS FOR YOUR TAP
Why is that fire hydrant running water?

When you see a fire hydrant running water, you might think someone opened it by accident or it's broken. But that might not be the case because sometimes Louisville Water is flushing the hydrant on purpose, and we will explain why.
Celebrating 21 years of pure tap perfection!

In 1997, we decided to do something extra for our extra special tap water - so why not give it a name? Louisville pure tap® was born and has become a community staple at concerts, festivals, community events, schools and more. Join our celebration on May 9 at the kickoff event from 5 -7 p.m. at the Crescent Hill Reservoir and Gatehouse!
Come walk and learn at Walking Wednesdays!

Our popular Walking Wednesday program will kick off for the season on May 9! This year's first Walking Wednesday evening program will also include the celebration of the 21st naming of Louisville pure tap®The Walking Wednesday program is offered the second Wednesday of the month from May through September from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free. We hope to see you May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, and September 12!
Buy Local Fair at Louisville Water Tower Park on May 20

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will host the annual Buy Local Fair on Sunday, May 20 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Louisville Water Tower Park. Presented by Louisville Water, admission to the Buy Local Fair is free and parking is $5 per vehicle, or free for bicycle parking. The fair will include more than 200 booths from local businesses, artists and craftspeople, community organizations, and farmers, as well as a craft beer, bourbon and brandy tent sponsored by ValuMarket plus much more! You can also BYOB (bring your own bottle - for water!) to fill up at the Louisville pure tap® to GO stations. Last year's fair drew a record crowd of over 10,000 attendees!
Hydrating runners, rain, shine or snow!

Not rain or snow could stop Louisville Water's 'Race Crew' these last few months. They have been hard at work readying the roads and setting up water stops for five different races all across the city, including the KDF Marathon and miniMarathon.
