Goodwill Truck: This Saturday , January 26th from 9am to 12pm we have the Goodwill truck parked in the BHS parking lot accepting donations. Goodwill donates some of their proceeds to BPA. Help us by clearing out your things. Small furniture will also be accepted.

Do Less, Give More: It’s not too late to get your shopping to count towards our fundraising needs. If you shop at Fred Meyer or Amazon, consider connecting your account to our nonprofit and earn money for our young performers. Amazon + Fred Meyer

Performing Arts Photos: Proofs of all the music groups will be available for viewing at the Spaghetti Dinner on February 2nd. Sign up to order the one(s) you want. The photos are 8" X 10" and cost $10 each. Cash or checks payable to: Rowland Studios

Run with the Beavers and Support BPA: 3rd Annual BHS Foundation Running of the Beavers is on March 30, 2019. The Running of the Beavers 5K Fun Run/Walk is a fun community event sponsored by the Ballard High School Foundation. The run starts and ends at Golden Gardens Park in Ballard. When you register or donate, use the drop-down menu to choose which Ballard High School Athletic Team or  BAND  to support. (BAND funds will go all BPA programs). When you select this option, 70% of your fee goes directly to your favorite team! Can't make it to the run this year? You can also make a direct donation at  www.runningofthebeavers.com , with 100% of your donation going to the team of your choice. Register  HERE

Fluid Calendar: There are many performing arts activities being added to the calendar. Make sure you keep up with the latest changes.
Band
Winter Jazz Band Concert: Thursday, January 24th at 7:30pm all are invited to attend, what is sure to be a memorable performance.

Solo + Ensemble Fees Due

Choir
Solo + Ensemble Information: Solo and Ensemble is Saturday, February 9th at SPU. The schedule will be out soon. Please pay $18 to BPA if you have not already. The payment to participate is past due. 

Advanced Chorale and Concert Choir Vancouver Trip: The choirs are traveling with the orchestra to Vancouver in May, from the 24th-26th. The total cost of the trip is $475. A $250 deposit is due by Tuesday, February 5th. 

Original birth certificates or official identification (passport or driver's license) are required for students nineteen years old and under to cross back onto the United States. Adult chaperones need a passport or enhanced identification. Click HERE to read the specifics from the US Government.

We need parent volunteers to chaperone for the trip. Please contact Felicia Johnson to sign up. 
Orchestra
Nothing new to report, but here are reminders from last week:

Northwest Regional Orchestra Concert: Wednesday February 13th at 7pm join us for the Northwest Regional Orchestra Concert. If you can help volunteer, please contact Eric Sanderson .

Seattle Symphony Concert: Friday March 1st BHS Chamber Orchestra joins the Seattle Symphony for a joint performance. There will be a dress rehearsal the day of the performance during DAM time .
