Consent Forms!

Most of you have decided to continue our partnership by returning your Consent Forms to the new company, Boulder CPA Group, P.C. We appreciate your votes of confidence and look forward to working with you in the new year!

If you haven't returned yours yet, please do so by December 31. Tax Organizers will go out in early January, but we can't send you an Organizer if you haven't returned your signed Consent Form.

Pay Before December 31 !

If you are able to take a deduction for your tax prep fees next year, you will want to pay them in full by the end of this year. If you have outstanding invoices to pay, please call Mary next week at 303-449-3060, or Katie on December 28 at 303-951-6020, or go to our website before December 31 and click on Pay My Invoice. Accountant Tip: Tax Reform Changes

MEALS & ENTERTAINMENT

Here is a short summary of changes going into effect in 2019 (for 2018 tax returns):

Entertaining clients - no longer deductible (including tickets to qualified charitable events)
Meals provided for convenience of employer - only 50% deductible
Office holiday and summer picnics - still 100% deductible
Meals for travel - still 50% deductible
Heightened need for substantiation of all business meals, including who attended and description of business conducted
Separate accounts for tracking entertainment expenses, 100% deductible meals, and 50% deductible meals
