As chair of Georgetown's pharmacology and physiology department, Kenneth Kellar, PhD, holds the Schering Professorship of Pharmacology, the oldest endowed professorship at the university.

A new program that allows Georgetown University medical students to complete an elective "rotation" at the Health Justice Alliance is yielding immediate results for underserved families in the Washington, D.C. area.


After battling stage-three non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Daisy Diggs volunteered for a phase-2 CAR-T cell clinical trial, an experimental therapy that using her immune system to fight the cancer. Three months after starting treatment, her tumors had disappeared.

A frigid weekend covered by a sheet of snow only contributed to the festive mood in the Lombardi Atrium, as the Walking Warriors set in motion their second year of fundraising for breast cancer care and research.

Lucile Adams-Campbell, PhD, professor of oncology and associate director for minority health and health disparities research at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been appointed senior associate dean for community outreach and engagement for Georgetown University Medical Center, which will expand Georgetown's interdisciplinary efforts to eliminate health disparities.
