The George Washington Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution kicked off Constitution Week on September 17th.

This week commemorates the 233rd signing of the Constitution and celebrates the foundation of America, and keeps alive the memory of the brave men and women who secured our nation's independence and made possible the liberties we enjoy today!

Pictured with TES students who rang the Trinity bell in celebration, is TES volunteer, Cheryl Tucker - DAR Registrar & Constitution Week Chair, who continues to bring more patriotism to our school. Also pictured is Mark Ravelli, Head of School, and Trish Clason, DAR member and Parish Administrator.
IN PERSON WORSHIP SERVICES RESUME!
Dear Friends,

We are going to try to re-implement in person worship at Trinity this coming Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The procedures will be the same as they were in June:
  1. Everyone attending will be required to wear a mask
  2. In addition, the Diocese of Texas requires us to take reservations for each service. You can make your reservation with the buttons below; and you can also make a reservation on the church's website.
  3. Please Click Here for complete worship service procedures.

People in vulnerable populations should stay home and watch on Facebook live, or watch the recorded service later at their leisure on our website.

I look forward to gathering with you in this holy space.

Grace and peace,

Lillian+

September 21 - October 4, 2020

The Galveston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association, in partnership with the Galveston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), is hosting a Dine Out for Charity event September 21st through October 4th. This event will feature 3 lunch items and 3 dinner items that automatically will include a charitable donation to be distributed to several local community groups.

The focus of the chosen charities is feeding, supporting, and enriching the health of the children and families of our community. The event is a beautiful opportunity for visitors to come to our Island, have a great culinary adventure, and continue to support the community just as they would have by attending one of our many festivals (cancelled due to Covid-19).

Charities receiving a charitable donation: The Grand 1894 Opera House, Galveston County Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, Resource Crisis Center, Family Service Center, & Teen Health Center.

For more information, a list of participating restaurants, and to donate, visit:

William Temple Foundation aka "Willie T's"
Ministers to UTMB Students During COVID 19

Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Willie T’s has continued its support of local college students, though the program has changed to protect everyone’s health.
Before the virus outbreak, students gathered in Eaton Hall once a week for a meal cooked and served by volunteers in the building’s kitchen. Most made frequent use of the Willie T’s “study hall,” a quiet where they could read, research and recuperate away from the campus classroom environment.
Lately, though, the kitchen, dining hall and study room have been closed, and students drive by the west entry to Trinity Episcopal School to pick up a pre-cooked, pre-packaged meal every two weeks. Volunteers wear gloves, and their smiles are hidden behind face masks.
“We serve 40 or 50 meals every other week,” said Larissa Botik, Executive Director of the William Temple Foundation (aka Willie T’s). “We purchase them from local restaurants to help support the Galveston economy, and we work hard to keep everything safe for our students and volunteers alike.”
So far, food has come from Queen’s Barbecue, Gino’s Italian Restaurant, America’s Kitchen, Shy Katz and Sunflower Bakery.

Executive Director, William Temple Foundation
