AFC's 11th Annual Juried Exhibit
AFC's annual exhibit is  the world's foremost conservation-themed art exhibit in the world today. Each year it  assembles many of the world's top nature artists in a common cause for conservation. Following its premiere in Vancouver, Canada, the exhibit tours internationally. For the first time in 2018, the exhibit will be themed to primarily feature birds, reflecting a special collaboration with the International Ornithological Congress and Vancouver International Bird Festival.

IMPORTANT: While we are trying to encourage as many art submissions with "bird" subject matter, we do still welcome non-bird artwork for consideration (e.g. landscapes, seascapes, botanical or other wildlife subjects).

Following are some key guidelines

  • Maximum 4 entries allowed.
  • Artwork must have been completed in 2015 or later.
  • Artwork must not have been exhibited in a previous AFC juried exhibit (i.e. must not have appeared in a previous AFC book).
  • Artwork does NOT need to be for sale or available for the live exhibit - you can optionally submit for the virtual exhibit/book only.

About the 2018 AFC Festival
In 2016, we announced a partnership with one of the world's oldest and most important global organizations dedicated to bird studies - the 27th International Ornithological Congress (IOCongress2018). AFC is the Congress' lead Partner for the Visual Arts. AFC's 2018 Festival and exhibit premiere will coincide with the August event in Vancouver, BC. The main event will be held in Vancouver's waterfront Convention Center in the epicenter of the city from August 22 - 25th. We're expecting dozens of AFC artists to attend along with 3,000 scientists/delegates and thousands of public visitors. On August 20, a "bird" parade through downtown Vancouver will kick things off. For more information, visit the AFC Festival website.

Note: August is a peak tourism season in BC so do make reservations soon if you plan to attend. We will be sending suggested hotels very soon.
