"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

My addiction had made me feel like I was riding a Ferris wheel. Riding it around and around waiting to get off, but when it would stop I would be stuck at the top, completely hopeless and helpless. In my heart I knew I needed help, but I didn't know where to turn or have the resources to get the help I knew I needed. Being hopelessly stuck in my addictions, the biggest struggle was finding a ride to The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC). I wanted to live though and not die, and with great confrontation I made it to the ARC.
Here at the ARC I had found myself, and most important I found God again. Finding peace and grace though Christ, I now have hope and truly believe that the ARC is God inspired and for that I am grateful. I have done most of my work therapy here at the ARC doing several different jobs, with an attitude to show how grateful that I am to God, the ARC, and the people that have helped me along the way. It has given me a purpose to live again and a sense of worth. I know I am on the correct road to recovery, and the future is bright.
I now want to focus on my life in Christ. There are some goals in life I have set, but most importantly is my relationship with God. So I am going to seize the day for God. I am going to trust, believe and follow Christ's example. I would like to leave you with the scripture that I truly believe: "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength" Phil 4:13. I can accomplish the things He wills for my life. This is just the beginning of my walk with God, now I never walk alone. Amen
