Monthly News from the President's Palette
It is in the month of March that I most feel lucky.

Since my last message, I have been reflecting deeply upon all of the things I am most “lucky” to have in my life. Tragedy in our community has reminded me to count my blessings and to reaffirm my commitment to help spread love, peace, and kindness through my teaching Art classrooms all around the world, near and far, have served a special purpose by becoming places of healing and reflection. Students of all ages made creative gestures of love and support to remind us that love remains, lifts, and connects us all, still.

I am eager to welcome the month of March and the thrill of attending the NAEA National Convention in Seattle, Washington March 22-24Our love of art, art education, and learning unites us and reinvigorates our spirit when we reconnect each year. Not only will I be looking forward to celebrating our honored Florida educators, but I am also proud to announce that FAEA will be receiving an award for our newly designed website and the FAEA newsletter! Lucky us! Congratulations to the task-force that worked to create the website, the Center for Fine Arts Education, and our Editorial Committee for all of the ongoing work in designing, editing, and creating terrific content.

Lastly, I am most lucky to be a part of this extraordinary group of art educators. I have witnessed such compassion, kindness, selflessness, and spirit within the last few weeks. Continue to be compassionate and courageous educators, and continue to inspire your students to be courageous too. We might just get lucky enough to see what a world like that could look like.
