The Halo Classic
Just last weekend, we concluded the biggest Halo 3 LAN in nearly decade at the Halo Classic . Players from around the world traveled to compete in what many considered to be the golden game in the Halo franchise and the tournament did not disappoint. In this issue of the Ultimate Gaming Newsletter , we're going to take you back through the event and all of its key stories.
TOX Stamps Legacy as Halo Classic Champions
TOX further cemented their legacy this past weekend at the Halo Classic by seizing the championship title through a dominant upper bracket performance. Welcoming in APG and Eco in place of Royal 2 and Frosty , the group has managed to carry on their supremacy in Halo 5 back in time to be crowned victorious in St. Louis in Halo 3.

Taking out many of the heavy-hitters at this tournament such as GMS, Lux Gaming and Team Reciprocity, TOX has proven themselves as all-around worldly Halo players on this stage.
Denial Sought First Blood
Denial entered the tournament as a dark horse and had quite the story unraveling as they traversed through a merciless lower bracket. The rekindled organisation trounced top performers such as Reciprocity and Status Quo before punching their ticket to the Grand Finals to face TOX

Denial would finish 2nd at the Halo Classic but stamp their presence as a team to look out for.
The Return of Status Quo
The Halo Classic attracted a collection of former professional players - this included the legendary Status Quo group. Replacing original team member, Enable, with Neighbor, the squad comprised of Ace, Neighbor, Flamesword and Assault sought greatness on the main stage.

Despite falling short to a fiery GMS side and an experienced Reciprocity in the lower bracket, SQ would ultimately finish 5-6th but seeking retribution at the HCS Invitational.
The Unsung Heroes, Lux Gaming
It seems there was a group of unsung heroes at the Halo Classic, and that band was Lux Gaming.

The team is comprised of Halo 3 National Champions and some new blood in Bubu Dubu - though, it seems their story got muddled among other professional attendees.

Lux Gaming was steadily on their grind in St. Louis, and despite being off of the main stage for most of the event, Lux climbed all the way to 4th place before faltering to Team Reciprocity.
TOX Wins UGC Halo 3 Throwback Tournament
With Halo 5 reaching the end of its life and Halo: Infinite still a ways out, the community has turned to an old favorite - Halo 3. It doesn't matter which Halo is played, TOX is still one of the best around.
