One week ago this evening, many of our school parents and SFX parishioners attended the fundraiser of the year! Together we embarked on an
adventure
, and raised bid cards to generate the necessary funds for our amazing school! While the night was rainy and dismal outside, the inside of the Century House was filled enthusiasm and energy exuded by supporters of our school and its mission. We are so blessed to have so many people willing to participate, support, and give generously to our school.
The Adventure
raised our $35,000 goal for general operation, as well as another $14,500 for this year's Call of the Heart. This year's
Call of the Heart
proposal was a plan to completely renovate our playground to provide a safer space for our children to play. More details of this year's Call of the Heart, and
opportunities
to contribute will be forthcoming. Thank you for your continued support of our school!
This weekend, we are thrilled to celebrate many of our second grade students, as they
receive
Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time! It was such a joy to see their excitement to be united with Our Lord in this sacrament! Congratulations to all of our First Communicants and their families!
The month of May is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, and we have many opportunities to demonstrate our devotion to the Mother of Our Lord. Each day we will be praying a decade of the rosary, and students will also have the opportunity to pray a rosary during their recess time on Thursdays. Please join us if you are able on Monday, May 14th, immediately following Mass, as we crown Our Blessed Mother here at the school.
Please stay informed of all events and celebrations on the horizon by visiting our school website often! While the end is certainly in sight, we have miles to go before we rest, and have a great deal left to accomplish with your children. Please join us in our efforts to finish the school year strong, and maintain an academic atmosphere for as long as possible!
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless you and your families.
