Celebrate with us as we participate in the 2018 Long Beach Pride Parade on May 20th at 9:30am.
March with The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach and show your spirit and support as we march through the heart of Downtown Long Beach. Everyone is welcome!
This year we celebrate together to honor, praise, and memorialize our community with our theme, "
Wings to show you what you can become. Roots to remind you where you're from
." We will provide shirts to the first 100 participants, as well as light snack and drinks.
Participants can meet us at our starting location along the parade route which starts at Ocean Blvd. This year's entry number will be announced soon. Look for the big double-decker red bus!

s MYTE (Mentoring Youth Through Empowerment) program for a kick back in Bixby Park. Youth between the ages of 13-18 are welcome to join us for barbecuing; park games; relaxing; and meeting other LGBTQ+ identified youth and allies!

The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, AIDS Food Store, and Hamburger Mary's are proud to announce the return of the Pink Party, this is Long Beach Pride weekend's signature kickoff event!
Featuring beats from renowned DJ Smuckers, the DREAMGIRLS Revue with all-star Drag Race performers, and specialty Pink Party cocktails, this is the event to see and be seen at Pride weekend.

The MADE Story Telling Hour(s) is a free, all-ages monthly story telling event with guest curators and featured speakers - speaking on a chosen theme.
This month's theme is "Resiliency."
Resiliency is often the cornerstone of queer and trans identity.
This storytelling event will give everyone the opportunity to learn something new about the (will)power of our local queer and trans community.

Small Businesses Against LGBTQ Discrimination

Today, Open to All coalition member Freedom for All Americans announced that their
Small Businesses Against LGBTQ Discrimination pledge has received more than 1,200 signatures from small business owners from all 50 states and Puerto Rico, and from industries such as agriculture, construction, and "Mom and Pop" restaurants. These leaders have signed a pledge affirming their support for LGBTQ nondiscrimination protections, and are speaking out during this critical moment in advance of a ruling in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case. In addition, the Open to All campaign has unveiled new small business resources for public-serving businesses that take the
Open to All pledge to not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

International City Theatre presents "Cardboard Piano" by creator Hansol Jung, a
beautiful new play about love, war, and forgiveness. Chris, the spirited daughter of an American missionary, falls head-over-heels in love with a local teenage girl in Northern Uganda. Confronting the religious and cultural roots of intolerance, Cardboard Piano explores violence and its aftermath, as well as the human capacity for hatred, forgiveness, and love.

The Garage Theatre presents "the all-american genderf*ck cabaret," a piece written by Mariah MacCarthy and directed by Ashley Elizabeth Allen & Charlie Nelson.
In the West-Coast premiere of Mariah MacCarthy's celebration of breaking out of the gender box, we find an assortment of folks who are anything but what they appear to be.

Created by filmmaker Michael Siv, Daze of Justice follows the journey of Cambodian American elders, to Cambodia for the UN Special Tribunal prosecution of leaders of the Khmer Rouge, a genocide that killed over 2 million Cambodians in the mid-70s.

Jennifer Laude was a transwoman murdered by an American U.S. Marine in the Philippines.
