TOMORROW!

Join Us for An Evening of Reflection
Tuesday, February 6
7:00 p.m. in Dominican Hall
Please join us for an Evening of Reflection with authors of The Friendship Project.
Authors Michele Faehnle and Emily Jaminet are Columbus residents who explore the cardinal and theological virtues with an eye toward friendship, focusing on faith, hope, love, prudence, gratitude, loyalty, generosity and prayerfulness. Through stories of their own friendships and those from the lives of saints and biblical women, you will not only be drawn closer to both old and new friends but you'll also be reminded how these friendships-and the virtues you practice nurturing them-draw you closer to God.
Ohio EPA Recognizes BWHS Science Teacher

Science teacher Will Reiss was recognized by the State of Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for his work creating the recycling program at BishopWatterson. Mr. Reiss developed a program to dramatically increase recycling, resulting in 30,000 pounds of trash being diverted from landfills each year.
"He imparts his knowledge and commitment to students who choose to recycle at school and home," states a certificate of appreciation. "He often arrives early to sort and organize the school's recycling efforts and stays late to lead the Environmental Club he founded in 2009. Often referred to by teachers and students as the 'nicest man in the world,' his dedication to recycling and leadership in environmental education is exemplary."

Italian Ministry Provides Student Teacher
The NOI Foundation (Nuovi Orizzonti Italiani), through the Consulate of Italy in Detroit and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome, is proud to present a new and exciting program to promote, enhance and support the Italian Language programs at two Diocese of Columbus schools.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome has provided funding to place an assistant teacher from Italy at St. Francis DeSales and Bishop Watterson

Roberta Bertolini, a native of Milan, Italy, was chosen from a number of candidates specifically trained for the instruction of Italian as a foreign language. She will assist our Italian teacher, Kelly Matthews, and Antonella Iacobone at St. Francis DeSales through the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

The Bishop Watterson faculty and staff supported the St. Lawrence Haven Christmas Toy Store.
