Please contact Lisa Hill, New Canaan Fresh Air Fund Chairperson, at 203-594-9472 or  [email protected] or visit our website ( www.freshair.org) for information about the program. "She who is full of grace, the object of God's pleasure exalted above all the angels and the saints,
lived an ordinary life".

Dear Parents,

As May begins, we continue to honor and pray to our Blessed Mother. We say particular prayers to her for all the Mothers who work so hard to care for their families.

We are pleased to announce that our visit from the NEASC Accreditation team was a great success! The team particularly complimented St. Aloysius School on outstanding School Safety, Catholic Identity, and Academics! In the words of the team, "We were very impressed with St. Aloysius School and you have passed your Accreditation." Congratulations to our faculty, students, staff and parents on a job well done! We are always grateful to our school community for their generous commitment to making our school the best it can be! God bless you!

Many parents attended the Raffle Kick off Carnival last Friday evening. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful time filled with fun activities. As of today, the Angel Fund has sold over 250 tickets. If you would like to participate in this raffle, tickets are always available in the main office.

Yesterday we welcomed our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cheeseman, Monsignor Powers and Fr. Rob. During the Mass, students were awarded both Distinguished Honors and Honors. We also acknowledged our Science Winners from the CT Science and Engineering Fair and congratulated them on a job well done!
Yesterday marked the last day for this session's Chess Club. JV and Varsity football continue into spring!

We are looking forward to our second graders making their First Holy Communion next Saturday, May 12th!

God Bless You!

School Safety Reminder

With the beautiful weather finally upon us, we want to remind our families of some of our campus safety policies.

Dismissal
We are asking all parents and caregivers to continue to closely monitor the safety of the children on the playground after school hours. As a reminder, once a student has been dismissed to a parent or caregiver, the safety of the student is the responsibility of that adult. Therefore the school is not responsible for any injuries that might occur on the school campus "after hours." In addition, our parking lot is very active so please keep a close eye on your children (and others' children) when walking or driving through the lot. Another gentle reminder: children  should not disturb any gardens or landscaping on the St. Aloysius School or church properties.

Pets
Please note that we follow the New Canaan Public School (NCPS) policy regarding pets on campus:
No animals, including dogs or other pets, are permitted inside the school building or on the school grounds. Exceptions: service animals trained to assist a human, such as a seeing-eye dogs or animals used for NCPS sponsored programs.

We thank you in advance for enforcing this policy.
