PROJECT UPDATES
Trotter Road Construction Project Update
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has installed locked resident mailboxes at the Southwest corner of Elyria Avenue and Trotter Road. Residents may pick up their keys at the 8th Avenue Post Office, NW corner of Seminole BLVD and 8th Ave SW, and present a valid ID to receive their key. The mailboxes will remain in that location for the duration of the construction project.  Questions regarding this update can be directed to Barry Westmark at (727) 587-6713.

MEETING UPDATES
Neighborhood Cleanup Update
On April 28, City of Largo staff, downtown residents and community partners teamed up to take part in the year's first neighborhood cleanup. Nearly 7,000 pounds of trash, tv's and tires were collected. Neighbors took advantage of the tree giveaway and committed to planting 65 trees in the area.

The American Red Cross of Central Florida who, with the help of volunteers, including Mayor Woody Brown and Largo Fire Rescue, collaborated in the neighborhood effort by installing 117 fire alarms. Additional event partners included Commissioner Donna Holck, Commissioner Curtis Holmes, Gulf Coast Legal Services and Habitat for Humanity Pinellas. Food donations were provided by Caspers Company McDonald's and Sonny's BBQ of Largo.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND MEETINGS
Gateway Master Plan Public Open House
A public Open House for the Gateway Master Plan is scheduled for May 10, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the EpiCenter, St. Pete College, 13805 58th Street North. The Gateway Master Plan is being prepared in partnership with Forward Pinellas, Pinellas County, and the cities of Largo, Pinellas Park, and St. Petersburg. The study's goal is to create a vibrant livable area that continues to attract jobs and includes multiple options to get to work and other destinations safely and conveniently.
