Party/Participate
Tracy Keenan preaching

Dear Covenant friends and family,
I love-love-love that Jesus’ first miracle was at a family wedding, a party, a gathering of people to celebrate union, togetherness, connection – to share, partake, and, as generations and relatives, to impart – to tell stories, offer wisdom, to encourage and be identified as belonging. He changed the ordinary water into wine, and it was the good stuff. No cheap stuff here - no Mad Dog 20/20, not even Two Buck Chuck. This was a wine snob’s wine. No label, but those with the nose and the palate could definitely tell.

On this first Sunday after I have shared with you all the news that Jim and I will be moving to the state of Delaware in six weeks, I am actually suggesting that we party, that we identify ourselves as this family of Jesus, that we see ourselves as gathered to celebrate this love, to share, to know our connection. God's party is bigger than we may suspect...

Grace and peace,
Tracy

ANGST. Do you suffer from anxiety? Does your child? Partner? Learn how to cope and find hope. One could make the case that anxiety is the most prevalent 21st Century disease afflicting the United States – certainly it is doing its best to cripple our youth. As people of God and the body of Christ, we have important insights and practices within our theology and tradition that can help us manage the anxiety that affect us and our children. It is time to reclaim this knowledge and to begin to share it. It is time to come to the defense of our children. Join us for this important film and discussion...a film about anxiety, truth, coping and hope.  Candid interviews with real teens about anxiety. Click here for more information. 2019 Per Capita is $35.75 Per Member
Each member of Covenant is also a member of the larger church, the Presbyterian Church USA. As such, it is part of our responsibility to support the work of the administrative bodies of the national church – the General Assembly, the Synod, and the Presbytery. We do this by making a per capita payment each January. The per capita for 2019 is $35.75 per member, for a total payment due of $21,093. This figure is based upon our church membership roll as of Dec. 31, 2017. We invite you to pay your share of the per capita so that this money does not need to come from this year’s budget. Your contribution will free up funds for other vital church programs that meet the spiritual needs of our congregation. Envelopes are on the welcome table.
You can now get your quarterly statement emailed
Emailing statements is much less expensive for the church, provides quicker delivery, and you can save and print your statement for your files. If you are interested in an emailed copy of your statement of giving please reply to Ingrid Smith at  ingridsmith@covenantpcusa.org .
Accessing the New Picture Directory Online!
Church members and those pictured in the new Covenant directory will receive an email about how to access the entire e-directory from your PC or phone any time, anywhere. Please email marypathelvey@covenantpcusa.org if you ever have changes to your information. Those changes will be made to the e-directory so you’ll always have the most current information.
Also, if you haven’t picked up your hard copy of the directory yet, please do so Sunday. They are in a box in the hall labeled with your name.
