Generous Donations Make Equipment Possible
We are happy to announce we received help for the hearing impaired at our theater. "Thanks the Three Lakes Lions Club and other generous donors, including those who donated for my birthday, we were able to purchase and install the Closed Caption and Assistive Hearing equipment," shared Collette Corgel, TLCFA President.

The equipment has been  installed, tested, and is functional. Anyone who wishes to use the equipment may ask at the ticket counter.

"Beside all of the work the Lions Club does with vision-related needs, we also focus our efforts on helping those that have hearing impairments. The success of the Wisconsin Lions Foundation Hearing Aid Program relies on the collaborative efforts and generosity of many people throughout the state who collect used hearing aids that provides funding for others. Collection of the hearing aids is absolutely critical to the success of the Hearing Aid Program in Wisconsin. Please drop your hearing aids no longer in use off any location that collects used eye glasses," Don Meeder, Three Lakes Lion Club Co-President, said.

We also received an anonymous gift of a set of wireless headsets that don't work with our present movie system, but will work with our PA system. They can be used at lectures, presentations and concerts. At concerts, the "earmuff" style headsets will reduce the sound for those who feel it is too loud and give them individual control over what they hear.

Thank you to the Three Lakes Lions Club and everyone for your generous donations!
For Your Viewing Pleasure

Orphaned, penniless but ambitious, and with a mind crammed with imagination and fresh ideas, the American Phineas Taylor Barnum will always be remembered as the man with the gift to effortlessly blur the line between reality and fiction. Thirsty for innovation and hungry for success, the son of a tailor will manage to open a wax museum but will soon shift focus to the unique and peculiar, introducing extraordinary, never-seen-before live acts on the circus stage. Some will call Barnum's wide collection of oddities a freak show; however, when the obsessed for cheers and respectability showman gambles everything on the opera singer Jenny Lind to appeal to a high-brow audience, he will somehow lose sight of the most important aspect of his life: his family. Will Barnum risk it all to be accepted?

Within days of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman) must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or standing firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation. As the unstoppable Nazi forces roll across Western Europe and the threat of invasion is imminent, and with an unprepared public, a skeptical King, and his own party plotting against him, Churchill must withstand his darkest hour, rally a nation, and attempt to change the course of world history.

TLCFA 2018 Ball

Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

TLCFA's annual ball was a rousing success again this year! Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the 'Blue Moon' theme provided a beautiful backdrop for an evening of good food, music, friends and funds for the arts.

This year several local farms contributed provisions for the meal, including Mile Crossing and James Lakes farms in Three Lakes, as well as Evergood and Camp Four Farms in Sugar Camp. Fika Bakery and Coffee prepared yummy desserts, and Catering by Jillian served a great meal. Nicole Nowlin of the Black Forest created a craft cocktail for the event.

Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters who helped make the Ball a success again this year. As always, mark your calendars for the Saturday after Labor Day next year!
