We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Lance and Jamie Mouw, not just for their recent transformational gift, but also for their fifteen years of unwavering commitment to the mission of Valley Children's. In December, the Mouws significantly invested in Valley Children's plans to bring additional services to the community of Visalia, and made a second generous gift toward our life-saving extracorporeal life support (ECLS) program. In addition to the donation, Lance gives his time and expertise as he serves on the Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors. In addition to Lance and Jamie's gift, parents Bud and Joyce Mouw also made a substantial contribution to our ECLS program. We are grateful to the entire family for being such incredible partners in providing the very best pediatric care. 

Thank you to Derrel's Mini Storage for their incredible ongoing support to Valley Children's Hospital. For every new unit rented, Derrel's Mini Storage donates $1 to support the patients and families we serve. Their commitment to have over 50 of their Derrel's Mini Storage locations across the Central Valley participate in this campaign continues to make an impact resulting in a $35,734 donation in 2018.

Thank you to ARCO am pm for presenting Valley Children's Hospital with an incredible donation of more than $34,000! This donation was made possible through their in-store campaign and other events at participating locations from Fresno to Bakersfield during November and December. Their campaign also included a teddy bear drive. These bears were delivered to our main campus in Madera, Akers Specialty Care Center in Visalia and Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center in Bakersfield. Thank you again to ARCO am pm management, stores and employees for your incredible support, as well as their vendors and the communities that supported their campaign to make it such a success!

Valley Children's would like to thank NBA star Quincy Pondexter for visiting us with his family and friends to deliver toys to our patients on Christmas Eve. Valley Children's Hospital President and COO, Debra Flores, was on hand to accept this wonderful donation. A special thank you to all those that attended the benefit and donated items to make this delivery possible, including tennis star Sloane Stephens and professional soccer player Jozy Altidore. We appreciate your amazing support to bring so much cheer to our patients this holiday season.

Valley Children's would like to thank The Nasim Rad Hope Foundation for their recent donation of $6,000 to benefit our oncology patients this holiday season. Nasim was a former Valley Children's patient, and her family continues her legacy through this Foundation in her honor. We are so grateful to Nasim's family and friends for their continued support and for helping to make a difference in the lives of our oncology patients in her memory.

Thank you to Skylar, who celebrated her 6th birthday this year by asking friends and family to make monetary or unwrapped toy donations to Valley Children's Hospital in lieu of gifts. With their help, Skylar was able to raise more than $100 to support Valley Children's NICU and collected many toys for Child Life. Thank you to all who supported Skylar's birthday fundraiser and helped her make a difference!

This year Kids Day is on March 5, 2019. This longtime Valley tradition is fast approaching, and we would love to have you join us!  There are many ways to get involved. You can sell papers on Kids Day or participate as a team in our business or school challenge.
