Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), can have devastating, long-lasting effects on children's health and well being. In New Jersey, 41 percent of children 0-17 years have experienced one or more ACEs, and 18 percent have had two or more.


The Trenton Healthy Corner Store Network hosted top local officials on a site visit at New Way Deli Market in Trenton (617 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd) on December 12, 2017. 


At the 2017 Culture of Health Conference, Valeria Galarza, Senior Project Manager, Cooper's Ferry Partnership presented an award to the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers in recognition of the positive impact it has made in so many communities across the nation. According to a Reuters article, a recent US study indicated the proportion of poor kids receiving government food assistance who are severely obese has declined following benefits changes designed to encourage healthier purchases.
