January 20-26

Sanctity of Life Sunday
Sunday, January 20
This Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday, the Sunday before January 22, which was named by President Ronald Reagan as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. We use this day to celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit to protecting human life at every stage.

Christ Covenant Church has been involved in the pro-life movement for many years, focusing especially in the area of supporting women in crisis so that they might protect the lives of their unborn children.

Sanctity of Life Sunday is often a very difficult day for women who are dealing with a past abortion decision. Living in His Forgiveness is a Bible study guide that offers encouragement of God's complete forgiveness for an abortion decision. These Bible study books are available free of charge to anyone struggling with this issue. Please visit the Caleb Ministries table in the north lobby for a copy. 2019 Men's Open Seminar: Sexual Sanity for Men
First and third Mondays, starting Jan. 21 | 7-8:30 PM
The Set Free Men's Ministry invites all men to join for an open seminar focusing on developing a biblical perspective on sex and sexuality. We will have various teachers and pastors walking us through the 14 chapters of David White's
Sexual Sanity for MenThis book helps us understand that sexual sin starts in our minds and hearts, and shows us how knowing Christ breaks our chains, builds spiritual brotherhood, and helps us take practical steps to re-create our minds in a God-focused direction.

This series is for men of all ages (18+ and youth accompanied by a parent), whether you've struggled personally, are leading or shepherding someone who is struggling or are just interested in learning about this specific sin pattern that affects nearly everyone, whether directly or indirectly. The seminar will be held in the Community Life Center Chapel. To learn more, please email [email protected] or  click here .

GET INVOLVED: OUTREACH

Teachers Needed for Short-Term Mission Trip
We are looking for teachers and former teachers who would be interested in attending a short-term mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya, June 13-22 (depending on flights).

The purpose is to come alongside the school that is part of our sister church, Kibera Reformed Presbyterian Church, for a teacher training conference. These teachers are some of the most creative and passionate teachers and just need some encouragement and support. This will be the first year their school will have students old enough to sit for their national exams, so we are looking for both lower school and upper school teachers.

If you would like to know more, contact Karen Chambers at [email protected]. You will come home from this trip encouraged and enriched by working with the teachers and all that God is doing there!
