Adult Sunday School "The Gospel Project" This week's study is the final session of our look at the Story of Joseph in the Book of Genesis. We'll be learning about God's ability to override evil with good and what that means about forgiveness.

Is There a New Person in Your Life?
Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Sunday, January 20, 5:00 PM here at Discovery Church. Music provided by members of the YHS A Capella Choir and Mt. Zion Baptist Mass Choir. A brief history of Yankton’s Black Community will be followed by soup, chili and fellowship.
 
Wednesday Night Meal , 5:3 0 PM Wednesday evening. You do not need to sign up - just come and eat. Free will donations accepted. This meal is available to the entire Discovery Family.

Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study meets at 6:30 PM Wednesday evening. We will be watching the video by Dr. David Jeremiah entitled “Overcoming Anxiety with Peace".

Discovery Zone for Kids, for children age 4 through 5th grade, meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM in the basement. Questions? Contact the church office (605) 689-2211.
Women’s Bible Study meets Thursday morning at 9:00 AM here at Discovery and will continue our study of the book of Romans. This week we will be watch the video and discuss Romans 1:18-32. Study guides ($10) are available. This study is open to ALL women. Child care is available. 
 
Annual Meeting — January 27, next Sunday, at 5:00 PM. Agenda items include election of additional members to the Board of Directors, discussion and vote on proposed bylaws changes, various reports and vote on the 2019 budget. Copies of the proposed bylaws revisions are available at the front and back of the worship center.
Women’s Get Together “Self Defense” January 29 at 7:00 PM. All women are invited to join us as we fellowship over dessert and learn about defending ourselves. Child care will be available downstairs in nursery area.
Eisenbraun Building The Design and Use Committee met and walked through the Eisenbraun Building sharing possible ideas on plans to utilize the building space. Everything is in the idea stage and they will wait until after February 1 closing before any action is taken. We will keep you informed regarding design and plans when they are determined. If you have not sent in your pledge or would like to contribute please do so by indicating so on the memo line of your check. Thanks to all who have so generously contributed so far.  
Ageless Wonders Birthday Club is seeking new members. We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at a local restaurant for a meal, fun, and fellowship. Each person brings a birthday card for the birthday(s) of the month plus items for the Contact Center, Pathways Shelter for the Homeless or the women’s shelter.
