"Serving Hunters' & Landowners' Needs Since 1987"

January 17, 2019

Happy New Year. I trust that each of you weathered the Holiday Season in good fashion and also hope that your 2019 is off to a good start.

Here at WSI, we are still extremely active with various hunting camps and are transitioning into a period on our calendar when we get hyper-focused on nilgai antelope, aoudad sheep, and some other miscellaneous hunts. Looking at our calendar, we have no obvious blank spots until May. Now don't misunderstand me, we do still have a few openings on nilgai and aoudad hunts, as well as plenty of availability on some other exotics and some spring turkey hunts, so please let us know if you may have an appetite to get something fun on your planner for the next few months. Also, we are busy trying to construct our fall schedule and are beginning to focus on re-bookings and bookings for those fall-season hunts, as well.

Included with this WSI Play By Play, you'll find an assortment of pics, principally from December, as well as a few January hunts. Our next outreach to you will be in the form of WSI ENews that will contain an assortment of noteworthy and newsworthy items. Until then, please us know if we can assist in any way.

Cheers,
Greg Simons

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

"
I wanted to drop you a note of thanks for the recent hunt I had at the Gage Ranch on December 17-21.

Success always makes for a memorable trip and I was successful in getting a very nice mule deer and an awesome aoudad. However, over the years I have decided that ultimately a successful hunt has a lot less to do with the end result and a lot more to do with the journey towards that end result. Jackie Murphy manages a great camp focused on the needs of the customers and relaxing and enjoyable. Jackie, Mike, Calan, Hunter, John, and Craig are all great guys who are very good guides. It is very obvious that they want their hunters to have a great time and be successful and they work very hard to make both of those things happen. I would not hesitate to hunt with any one of them. On top of the guides, David is definitely the best camp cook I have ever been around.  I already have told the aoudad story to my buddies a half dozen times and I've only been back a couple of days. This is my second year to go to the Gage R anch and my third trip overall . I went this time thinking it would be the last mule deer hunt I'd sign up for, but by the middle of the week I had already decided to re-up for 2019.

Of course, you and Jennifer are as great to work with before the trip as the guides are during the trip.
You guys do a good job and I'll be very happy to come back again next year for mule deer and eventually get a shot at an elk.

"
Wanted to let you know Barbara and I just completed a mule deer hunt on the A.S. Gage Ranch.  Mike was our guide and he has excellent hunting skills and such a pleasure ot be around.  He put us on a nice buck which was Barbara's first mule deer.

The rest of your personnel, were very polite, professional and courteous and a joy to be around.  The cleanliness and comfort of the camp was excellent."

The food was excellent.  Again, thank you for a great experience.  Looking forward to next year."
