As you know, AHCCCS awarded Mercy Care with an AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) contract. We wanted to share important information with you in order to provide you with a better understanding of what this will mean.
Award
- The new contract begins October 1, 2018 and will run for three years with two optional two-year contract extensions.
- The Mercy Care contract award includes the Central GSA (Maricopa, Pinal and Gila counties). This allows us to expand to Gila and Pinal Counties.
- We will continue to serve our ALTCS, MCA and DDD members in Maricopa and Pima Counties.
- Before the October 1, 2018 effective date of this contract, we will be assisting in the transition of Mercy Care's members in Pima County to other ACC contractors.
Contracting
Our Contracting department is close to completing their evaluation of our provider contracts, and as a result of this, you may have received an amendment for contract revisions. Not all providers will receive a contract amendment. If you receive a contract amendment, please respond and return it no later than May 14, 2018. The majority of contract amendments was sent out to affected providers for the ACC contract between April 20, 2018 and April 27, 2018. Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care Merger
As part of the requirements of the ACC contract, Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care will be merging into one health plan, which will be one entity. Our new name will simply be Mercy Care. We will have a new logo, a new website URL (www.mercycareaz.org) and some other minor changes.
These changes will take effect July 1, 2018. We are very excited about these new changes and look forward to rolling out our new logo and website! We are planning a Provider Forum in July to go over all of the changes and what it means to you. This is an event that you will not want to miss! Stay tuned as we will be providing more communication to you as we move toward that date.
