Writing Programs for Teens and Tweens
"The true alchemists do not change lead into gold; they change the world into words." (William H. Gass) It's been said that authors don't write because they want to; they write because they have to. Follow the links below to learn more about each session.

 - Write Here Teen Writing Group: March 1, 15 (D. Bend)

We have plenty of Jo(e) to go around: Joe Stalin, G.I. Joe, and Jo March are only some of the anything-but-ordinary characters we will get to know this March at Deschutes Public Library. Join in on these free programs, where you can also try your hand at painting with some good ol' Joe (coffee) and even take cues from an expert mushroom hunter with more than 30 years' experience teaching Average Joes to forage in Central Oregon. Your Business is Our Business: We're Here to Help
Whether you're thinking about starting a small business or have owned one for years, a good business plan is an important strategic tool. Businesses in the planning stages can use a good plan to help secure funding or investment, and established businesses can use a new or revised plan to focus on areas of potential growth and risk. Begin or refine your business plan with the help of SCORE mentors and your library. Register now for a SCORE business plan workshop: March 20 at the Downtown Bend Library, and March 26 at the Redmond Library.
Storytime Spotlight: Perfect for Babies & Toddlers
Children are never too young to develop a love of books and skills that will prepare them for reading. You can help foster this important step in early literacy by exposing your child to the stories, songs, and movements you'll find at our Baby Steps, Mother Goose & More, and Toddlin' Tales storytimes. While we host a variety of fun and engaging storytimes for young children, these sessions in particular are perfect for children from birth to age three. Check page two of your Events guide or visit our website here for storytime locations, dates, and times.
