CONGRATULATIONS MS. SHAYLOR!
|
This year's St. Mary Central Catholic High School Art show was extra special as Ms. Karen Shaylor celebrated 33 years of dedication to the art program. Ms. Shaylor announced that she will be retiring in June and this year's art show theme was "The End of an Era." For the past three decades, Ms. Shaylor has developed the art curriculum to include a number of different and advanced disciplines including pottery, book making, and working with clay and other media. She also initiated and maintained the Visiting Artist Residency through the Mylander Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council to expose students to a variety of opportunities and careers in the arts. This year's resident artist, Kate Ball, taught students computer animation. Best wishes to Ms. Shaylor!
