New Semester - New Beginning
Maybe your student had a tough fall semester and is
looking forward to a fresh start or maybe your student is looking for added support. Here are some WMU resources to share that may be helpful for a positive and healthy semester.

The  Bronco Study Zone offers a comfortable learning environment with tutoring and academic support resources.

The  Academic Resource Center offers tutoring, college success seminars, supplemental instruction and overall academic support.

The  Writing Center helps students to become better writers with one-on-one assistance, whatever the writing project.

If your student is having difficulties with an on-campus living situation, the  housing staff is dedicated to helping resolve conflicts. Encourage your student to contact an RA or the residence hall office staff with any concerns.

Sindecuse Health CenterCounseling Services and the Student Affairs  case manager are committed to supporting your student's good health and welfare.

And if you're not sure where to turn or how to advise your student,  Family Engagement is always willing to help and get you connected with the appropriate person, department or resource.

Housing Sign Up
New and returning students interested in living on campus can sign up for fall 2019  housing later  this month. The advantages to being on campus include convenience, forming social networks, and live-in staff available to help when needed.

Returning students sign up begins Jan. 28. Returning students (sophomore status or higher) who sign up for a single room and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of spring semester are eligible for a single room at the price of a double room.

First-year and transfer students can sign up starting 10 a.m. EST Jan. 30. The date your student signs up determines their Room Selection Group. On May 10, students will receive an email with the first date they can login to choose their hall, room, and meal plan.

There's no deposit required to sign up for housing. If your student is still deciding schools, they can still sign up for housing early to get a good Room Selection Group number. Students MUST notify Residence Life by June 1 if they are not  coming to WMU to avoid
  cancellation  fees.
To sign up, students log into the Housing Portal or through their GoWMU account with their BroncoNet ID and password. C lick the li nk to open the Housing and Dining Application.

The housing contract is for a full academic year (fall + spring semesters). Please be aware your student is entering into a legally binding contract with the University by e-signing it.

If your student is under the age of 18, a co-signature is required. An email will be sent to the parent or guardian address your student provides. That individual will receive an email with a link and code to electronically sign the housing contract.
Congrats to all newly minted WMU alumni!
