Youth ticketed for good deeds
The town, in partnership with Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), launched a positive ticketing initiative this week to recognize youth for performing good deeds. HRPS officers will hand out positive tickets to kids spotted committing random acts of kindness or exhibiting positive behaviours that enhance the community. Each ticket includes a complimentary pass to one of the town's drop-in youth programs.

Council to appoint Ward 4 Councillor
Seventeen candidates have applied to fill the position of Ward 4 Town Councillor.
A special meeting of Council is scheduled for Monday, May 7 in Council Chamber at Town Hall to give each applicant five minutes to explain why he or she is the best candidate for the position. Council will then vote to appoint the successful candidate to fill the vacancy.
