Last Friday, members of GO's Southside Construction training program joined representatives from the City of Asheville, New Belgium Brewing, and Mountain Area Workforce Development Board to officially open a newly-installed trail on the Town Branch Greenway. The trail runs through the Southside community, connecting S. French Broad Avenue with Depot Street. Residents are invited to use the trail for biking, walking, and jogging, and to enjoy the nearby benches and picnic tables built by GO students. Not only did this project expand Asheville's greenway system, it also offered training pathways to Asheville residents. Learn more about the greenway project.
