Note from the Commission Chair

Dear Commissioner Deanna McLaughlin (TN),

Thank you for your comments and questions regarding the Ad Hoc Leadership Development Committee (LDC) and the LDC's process to define a succession plan for leadership in MIC3. 

At the close of our Annual Business Meeting (ABM) last October, as Commission Chair, I committed to the 50 +1 State Commissioners that we would develop a process for the 2018 ABM that was transparent and would outline a clear succession plan for the organization. 

The LDC members are seasoned and committed commissioners that have worked diligently on this process. The meeting minutes, provided below, reflect their hard work and efforts. (Minutes are also available on the MIC3 website at  www.mic3.net  in the  Commissioner Only  portal)

In light of the concerns you raised, I have asked the LDC to review your points and respond accordingly. I appreciate the time you took to outline your thoughts.
