e have had a great week of learning at Lovejoy Elementary. I just want to say thank you for sending us amazing children! We appreciate all that you do to partner with us each and every day. As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, January 21st in observance of MLK Jr. Day. If your family is looking for something fun to do on Monday, our PTA is hosting Spirit Day/Night at Pin Stack in Allen. Make sure to put your receipts in the designated LL Logo spirit boxes for a portion of the proceeds to go to Lovejoy Elementary PTA. Hope you enjoy your three day weekend!

Pin Stack Spirit Day
No school on Monday, January 21st...Join the LES PTA for Spirit Day at Pin Stack (Allen Location) from 11:00 am - Midnight. NEW! UIL for 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grade
Lovejoy Elementary students will have the opportunity to participate in the UIL (University Scholastic League) competition this year. Events will be held on April 1st and April 5th. Please check your child's Thursday Folder for detailed information and registration form.
The registration form is due no later than January 25th.

1st Grade Music Program
The LES 1st Grade will proudly present a Music Class Demonstration on Thursday, January 24th at 6:30 pm in the LES Gym. Please join us for a brief, but meaningful program showcasing songs, games, and performances from our Music Classes. Students will report to the music room at 6:15 pm. Lovejoy Offers Group Counseling
Lovejoy is offering group counseling for students for a variety of areas. The groups will meet weekly, during school hours, and will be facilitated by Lovejoy's Social Worker, Noelle Gove, LCSW. The overall goal of the counseling groups is to address student's social/emotional needs that may be impacting their experience and success at school. Groups are being offered, based on need, to every campus in the district, grades K-12.
