A preview of what St. James children are up to - more to come!
Thoughts from the Director
Dear Families,

Wow 2018 sure came in a hurry! Can you believe it is already February? I feel like I'm still cleaning up Christmas decorations, well maybe not the decorations but definitely the Christmas toys!

I want to use this space to talk about something near and dear to my heart, fellowship. I am a person that values friendships and love having people around me to talk with, vent to and just generally fellowship together. Since I started at St. James, I've wanted to find others to connect with and bond over shared experiences. We created Young Family Fellowship, YFF, to do just that and to connect with together. Since we meet only at a certain time on Sunday mornings, I understand that not all of us can get together and I'd like to find other ways for us as parents to connect and have a chance for our kids to connect as well. St. James is introducing a new project, Small Group Wednesday, for another avenue for us to connect together. You can read more about this project below.

I hope to see you either on Sundays for YFF or Small Group Wednesday!

Sunday School
Godly Play ages 3 - 1st grade

The kiddos are loving their routine! They enjoy taking turns setting up the worship table, playing in the rice, ringing the bell, and finishing with an activity. They've learned about baptism and being a good shepherd.
Episcopal Children's Curriculum (ECC) 2nd - 5th grade

The older students are learning about Epiphany, Jesus' flight into Egypt and what it truly means to be forgiven.

In Need of Nursery Volunteers
Great news, St. James is growing! And our biggest area of growth is with our young kids. Over the last year we've seen an increase of sometimes 20% in our nursery. Because of that growth we are looking for more volunteers to commit to once a month serving in our Nursery with our Nursery staff! If you are interested please email immediately! We will have CPR training on Feb. 11th. Thank you!

Save the Date for VBS!

Date: June 25-28

Theme: TBD - We will form a committee starting in February, if you'd like to be part of the planning committee we would love to have
you! Send us an  email and let us know.
