For most people, 2017 was the year they heard about bitcoin and learned enough about the cryptocurrency to forget within 24 hours. We've all had that friend claiming to be a brilliant investor because they bought $50 worth of litecoin and ethereum before prices exploded in late October. We've all heard how cryptocurrency is the future of finance. While there might actually be some truth in that statement, we in commercial real estate are more intrigued by the endless possibilities of blockchain. Blockchain is the actual basis of bitcoin technology, and it will certainly impact the way real estate professional conduct business in the future.

Hidden talents most people don't know about: Not sure how talented at any of these but when I have the time I enjoy fly fishing, DIY projects and yoga.
Proud accomplishment: I am proud of my marriage, my children, my friendships and the 8 pound carp I caught in Virginia on a fly that I tied.
Favorite sports team: Gators, Jags, Washington Nationals
Favorite music group: Music tastes evolve...right now I'm into Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Flatland Cavalry and all the songs from the Sound of Music which is my daughters favorite movie and burned into brain whether I like it or not.
Guilty pleasure: Fried chicken. I don't care where it's from. I love it.

Background & Experience
Jason Purdy joined the NAI Hallmark team in 2016 as a sales associate. Mr. Purdy began his career in Jacksonville with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management providing customer service to equity plan participants. As a FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licensed financial advisor, Mr. Purdy transitioned to Merrill Edge where he provided holistic financial advice to mass affluent clients.
Education
Mr. Purdy has a BA in Finance and Management from Ouachita Baptist University, where he was Captain of the Men's Swimming and Diving Team and also an NCAA Division II Honorable Mention Academic All-American. After graduation, he obtained his MBA from the University of West Florida.

Mr. Purdy is on the NAIOP Developing Leaders Board. He is also an active member of Ortega United Methodist Church. Mr. Purdy continues to be involved with Ouachita Baptist University's swimming alumni. More recently, Mr. Purdy has enjoyed competing in triathlons and recently completed IRONMAN Florida in 2017.
